Finding That Perfect Personalised Gift
With every birthday, wedding, engagement, housewarming, and all the other gift giving events we encounter in every day life we need a source of inspiration for what gifts to give. Of course the best means of doing this is by knowing the person you are buying for really well so that you know the sort of things they like, and the sort of things they want. However we will probably only know a handful of people that well. So what can we do for the other people we don’t know that well? Where can we look for inspiration?
There are a few methods you can use for personalised gifts ideas in my experience. The first is fairly hit and miss but, admittedly more by luck than judgment, you can make some really good finds. This merely involves wandering somewhat aimlessly around the shops hoping to stumble across something, but can turn up the odd gem. This can be narrowed down slightly if you have some sort of inkling as to the sort of gift you are looking for, so you can actually wander aimlessly around the correct sort of shops.
If that sounds like a bit too much effort for a method that is very hit and miss, and to be honest it’s probably more miss than hit, you can try one of the multitude of online gift finders. These are usually run by websites that will list gift ideas from several different online web retailers. They will take information you enter such as age, gender, how much you want to spend, maybe a rough idea of the sort of ‘thing’ the person you are buying for is into, and based on that give you a narrowed down list of gift ideas
Good luck in your search for the perfect gift!
